Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

This is a unique branch which bridges disciplines of Dentistry and Medical Science. Oral Surgery training has evolved to a new concept as Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Oral Surgery.
The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is responsible for the didactic and clinical instruction in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Local Anesthesia and Pain Control for the undergraduate dental students. The Department is fully committed to patient care, student education, service to the University, the community, and the profession. The undergraduate training starts from 3rd Year BDS onwards .The faculty guides all the undergraduate students for basic exodontia, minor oral surgical procedures which are undoubtedly essential to practice as a general dental practitioner.

The department has full strength of highly qualified staff recognized by Dental Council of India.
